Joining Private Barter™ starts with a Trade Pledge™. A Trade Pledge™ is a particular dollar amount of trade you commit to the Private Barter Exchange™. Your Trade Pledge™ is the amount you are immediately able to spend within the system. Outside of your Trade Pledge™ you earn Private Barter™ credits as would, in the cash economy, by sales of service and product.

Private Barter™ is extremely select about its membership; we do not allow traders with a history of bad service or product, inflated prices or a poor trading history. Lifetime membership is not guaranteed and businesses that do not strictly adhere to the terms of the Private Barter Exchange™ are removed from the system.

Private Barter™ earns its money by charging a 10% fee on all sales. That means every time you make a sale we charge 10% of the total sale. The 10% is due monthly and is payable in goods, services, cash or other commercial exchange instruments. The type of payment due for fees is agreed upon when joining Private Barter™ but is not restricted to that type for the life of membership.

There is no charge to spend within the Private Barter Exchange™.

Understand the goal of Private Barter™ is vast but Private Barter™ like many other good things, starts small. What this means is that you will not always be able to get the goods or services you wish. With that said, we will do our best to service your needs and fulfill your requests. Private Barter™ does have access to many other barter and trade exchanges and in many cases can use its reciprocal trade agreements with them to fulfill your request.
